Warrant of arrest for Katsina Governor's aide
Ali Abu-Bakr Bauranya, a security aide to Katsina Governor, Ibrahim Shema, faces arrest for his alleged continued failure to appear in court despite a bench warrant issued to him.
Abuja - All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, General Muhammadu
Buhari, has sympathised with the victims of the recent attacks in
Faskari and Sabuwa Council area of Katsina State.
He said the spate of attacks rocking part of the north was a grand ploy to destabilise Nigeria and urged residents of the area to help in unmasking those behind the attacks.
“They are trying to destabilise Nigeria, beginning with the north because they started with Borno and Kano. Now they got to Katsina and Kaduna,” said the former military head of state.
The APC leader insisted that the attacks were pure terrorism and went beyond religion and ethnicity arguing that nobody was spared the killings.
“Since the security agents have realised that the whole thing is arrogance, residents must unite and help in unmasking those behind these attacks,” Buhari said.
He urged members of the public to report suspicious people and movements to security agents so that such people could be investigated and charged to court if found wanting.
Buhari commiserated with victims of the recent attacks in Katsina where 100 deaths were reported.
He prayed for lasting peace in the whole country.
