Whitney Houston’s Lifetime Movie Gets Positive Review

The Lifetime Whitney Houston biopic has being receiving a lot of positive reviews since it aired on Saturday the 17th of January. The movie which was directed by Angela Bassett was applauded not because it was extra special but at least it was better than the poorly rated, Aliyah movie.
However many viewers where quick to recognise the fact that Whitney’s drug past was glossed over. Though there were references to drugs in the movie, there was specifically no scene that was directed towards Whitney’s scandalous drug use lifestyle. Angela who directed the movie has being getting some sort of positive commendation on social media because the movie was her directorial debut.
One thing that Whitney, which was more boring than bad, had in common with the Aaliyah biopic is the family’s disapproval. Houston’s family said in a statement: “I question the morality of the making of this because of the lack of experience knowing Whitney’s life. Never would Whitney allow her story to be told by an inexperienced team and how naive of anyone to think otherwise, unless you’re caught up in illusions of grandeur that you can just do anything and people will accept it. This made for TV movie is certainly not a trailer to Whitney’s life story.”
