NFF to sack Keshi if found guilty

Stephen Keshi
A member of the Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee Iyke Igbokwe has said the committee will recommend Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi’s sacking if it is confirmed   he applied to coach African champions Ivory Coast.

Keshi, who appeared before the committee in Abuja Tuesday, denied applying for the Ivorian post.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick said Keshi it would be “suicidal” for Keshi to apply for another post when he is in the employment of the federation.
Igbokwe said, “If it is proved that he indeed applied to coach Ivory Coast when he is still coaching the Super Eagles, then that is a breach of trust.
“We will then recommend (to the executive committee) that he be relieved of his job.”
Keshi helped Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations –and   guided the team to the second round of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
